Email Marketing Specialist

Summary:

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the daily activities that drive the email program. This includes product selection, segmentation, creative review, KPI’s and metrics and all related email reporting. There will be an opportunity to work closely with other members of the email and extended ecommerce teams to facilitate a cohesive marketing plan in all ecommerce areas. The ideal candidate will be both creative and analytical. This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our marketing team and have significant impact on improving top-line sales at a growing multi-channel company.

Job Description:

  • Devise themes for email campaigns. 

  • Participate in eCommerce and Marketing planning and strategy sessions. Collaborate with the team to plan and execute eCommerce strategy.

  • Selection of product level and category level promotions for email campaigns. 

  • Communicate creative requirements for the set-up of emails with advertising and review/proof creative out-put.

  • Assemble the creative elements into email templates.

  • Review inventory levels of products for emails and homepage.

  • Implement e-mail campaigns developed in conjunction with Marketing, Advertising and Product Development teams.

  • Over-see promotions on emails. Which includes; working with Advertising and internal team members for set up, proofing creative, testing promotional codes and communicate promotional plan with other departments.

  • Thorough understanding of email performance metrics and benchmarks, helping drive and optimize key traffic and revenue metrics including deliverability, CTR, open rates, incremental revenue lift, engagement and retention. 

  • Based on strategic plans, build and refine email program including; planning, targeting, segmentation, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization. 

  • Develop and manage continued growth and quality of email lists, buyer segmentation and contact strategy.

  • Evaluate competitive space to recommend/adopt best practices.

  • Maintain a comprehensive email marketing calendar that considers the various pertinent events that affect e-mail campaigns (sales promotions, seasonal opportunities, etc.).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, marketing or related field.

  • 2-3+ years of experience with managing email campaigns and online marketing programs.

  • Background working in an advanced email platform including the ability to segment a comprehensive email list into multiple targets required. Listrak, Salesforce, ExactTarget platforms preferred.

  • Attention to detail for proofing creative out-put.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website functionality.

  • Proficiency in Excel (including creating Pivot Tables/use of formulas), Word and PowerPoint.

  • Highly organized, dynamic, detail oriented, creative, and analytical.

  • Solid interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication abilities.

eCommerce Digital Marketing Program Manager

Summary:

The Digital Marketing Program Manager is responsible for developing digital strategy and executing the daily activities of the affiliate and site retargeting/digital advertising programs with opportunity to expand into other digital marketing programs as the company’s digital strategy continues to evolve.

This position reports to the Director, eCommerce and Digital Marketing.

Job Description:

  • Manage and optimize the affiliate marketing program.

    • Manage affiliate programs to ensure continuous promotion of brands as well as generate increased traffic and sales revenue.

    • Manage existing affiliates and 3rd party partners, including but not limited to leading affiliate marketing software and networks (e.g. CJ).

    • Analyze potential revenue and traffic streams for potential affiliates.

    • Analyze potential affiliate website content, reputation and popularity.

    • Advise Marketing management on market demand, deals and combo creation to initiate new campaign ideas, incentives and bonus offers.

    • Develop, monitor and manage offers to merchant partners; establish benchmarks and report relevant metrics.

    • Analyze publisher performance and increase or decrease commission rates accordingly.

    • Initiate new campaign ideas, incentives and bonus offers. Establish and manage new relationships with customers from a variety of audiences including new vs existing customer campaigns.

    • Assist senior management with third party service assistance and contract negotiations

  • Manage and optimize the site retargeting/digital advertising program.

    • Manage and report on current site retargeting program.

    • Analyze and test additional digital advertising opportunities designed around increasing conversion rate, purchase frequency and list growth.

    • Assist senior management with third party service assistance and contract negotiations.

  • Create program plans based on eCommerce Marketing strategies including goals for retention, repeat purchases and new customer acquisition.

  • Be an active participant in the weekly marketing planning meetings.

  • Ensure appropriate branding and brand messages are used across campaigns and programs.

  • Optimize cross-channel digital marketing programs to maximize the impact of individual touches on conversion rates, AOV and repeat purchases.

  • Prepare, analyze and present accurate channel reports for review by management and executive management.

  • Manage third party vendors and internal resources to ensure the success of each Marketing program.

  • Presents sound solutions and ideas for growth with cost /benefit numbers to back the recommendations.

  • Interface with other internal departments including advertising, merchandising and IS to execute program details.

  • Maintain excellence in digital media and future technologies in the marketplace.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in eCommerce marketing and affiliate / cross-channel marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 2+ years in digital marketing with experience managing affiliate and site retargeting/digital advertising programs. Other channel experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and growing an affiliate program.

  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing and growing a site retargeting/digital advertising program.

  • Ability to gather and analyze large sets of data to find key insights and identify areas of opportunity.

  • Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes.

  • Experience with CJ, Conversant, Criteo a plus.

  • Experience managing cross functional projects.

  • Results driven and able to work with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals.

  • Manage working relationships with third party vendors.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to drive strategic decisions.

eCommerce Customer Experience Manager/Business Analyst

Summary:

You will be responsible for the online customer experience for brands. This includes understanding the current online customer experience, analyzing competitor's customer experiences for industry specific customer expectations, identifying opportunities for optimization, and A/B and multivariate testing of the potential changes to customer experience on the websites.

The Customer Experience Program Manager is also the key contact between the eCommerce functional areas and other business partners (e.g. IS, Advertising, Customer Service) to identify, define and assist in the implementation of new eCommerce functionality and business process changes. A qualified individual for this position will possess strong project management skills, be fluent in eCommerce and content management systems, including its capabilities, system integrations and Customer experience.

The eCommerce Customer Experience Program Manager will have a deep knowledge of leading eCommerce industry best practices and the competitive landscape. This individual will manage the Business Process Specialist in their performing of workflow and impact analysis with recommendations for changes, business process optimization, release testing, end user training, data validation, etc.

Job Description:

  • Understand the current customer experience

  • Analyze competitor's customer experience for industry specific customer expectations

  • Interject industry best practices and technology into strategy and recommendations for change.

  • Identifying opportunities for customer experience optimization

  • Analyze user, customer and system needs and issues.

  • Primary contact with IS in the development of project requests/scorecards/ROI

  • Develop and/or review project lifecycle documentation including: project vision, business requirements, functional specifications, project benefits and costs, deployment strategies, training plans and materials, user manuals, other technical and business materials.

  • Occasional participation in roadmap and steering committee meetings to enlighten attendees, assist with prioritization and promote change

  • A/B and multivariate testing of the potential changes to customer experience on the websites Participate in related user groups, and/or other professional organizations

  • Conduct informal and formal presentations, including meeting facilitation

  • Identify potential process improvements through use, user interviews and other information gathering activities

  • Perform necessary research to fully understand business issues

  • May create Business Process Procedures and other documentation

  • Communicate business process changes

  • Coordinate and perform testing (unit, integration, performance, regression) for any implementation or upgrade

  • Provide input for End User Training, collaborating with trainers to ensure training curriculum and aids meet business needs; will conduct training in certain circumstances

  • Manage the business process specialist and drive their activities such as business process optimization, release testing, end user training, data validation, etc.

  • Bring competitive knowledge to marketing and merchandising activities within the team.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in eCommerce, Business, Marketing or other relevant study

  • Minimum of 5+ years of eCommerce experience in direct-to-consumer or wholesale businesses

  • Minimum 5+ years online customer experience and project management experience

  • Deep knowledge of leading eCommerce industry best practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes

  • Experience using ATG eCommerce and related applications (e.g. Product recommendations, click to chat, Endeca Search, etc.)

  • Experience in developing data driven user experience strategies.

  • Proven ability to develop and document business requirements and project manage projects through implementation.

  • Bring competitive analysis and customer experience industry best practice research recommendations to recommendations for change.

  • Deep understanding of current business processes relating to the system(s), the inputs and outputs of the processes, and the resulting impact to the organization
